Transave appoints new CEO

Transave has appointed Ian Sibbald as its new Chief Executive Officer. Ian succeeds Rachael Hardman Jones, who is retiring on health grounds after 23 years of service to the organization.

Ian joined Transave in 2021 as Operations Director and has served as Interim CEO since May of this year. Prior to this he had a successful career spanning over 20 years in the education, IT, and financial sectors.

Ian commented: “I am truly honoured to step into the role of CEO at Transave. I deeply believe in the core credit union values of trust, community, and people helping people. I’m excited to work with our talented team, members, and partners to build on this strong foundation. As we look ahead, our focus will be on growing sustainably strengthening our services, investing in innovation, and ensuring every step we take supports the long-term health of our members and communities. We don’t just want to grow; we want to thrive together, creating lasting impact and shared prosperity.”

Originally from Manchester, Ian is an Ironman triathlete and an avid fan of cycling and outdoor pursuits. His personal interests also include being a keen traveller and live music enthusiast, alongside his lifelong devotion to Manchester United Football Club.
